Job summary

Carowinds in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Worker to keep the hotel building, equipment and guest rooms in complete working order, with public areas free from blemishes.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and other related tasks. You will communicate with your supervisor, complete department paperwork, and provide guest service per Six Flags standards, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry or related work preferred.
• At least 2 years of maintenance or relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, maintenance techniques, and electrical/plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains hotel building and equipment to keep guest rooms and public areas in good repair.
• Inspects public areas (hallways, pool, fitness center, banquet spaces, lobby) for maintenance needs.
• Performs routine painting, plumbing, electrical work and other maintenance tasks.
• Operates heavy maintenance equipment and completes department paperwork.
• Communicates status of repairs and inventory to supervisor and provides guest service per Six Flags standards.
