Job summary

TownePlace Suites Gainesville, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to maintain the overall operation of the maintenance department and the hotel's facilities. The role includes managing life safety programs, equipment maintenance, and supervision of maintenance tasks to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and basic computer abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Basic computing skills suitable for maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the hotel's equipment and systems operate safely (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, laundry, etc.).
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and log follow-ups.
• Communicate regularly with the GM/Asst GM about building conditions.
• Supervise external contractors when needed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
