Job summary

The Hampton Inn West Des Moines/Lake Drive is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform property maintenance and repairs. The role involves handling work orders, preventive maintenance, and hands-on repairs across multiple trades in a guest-focused hotel environment.

The position requires the ability to work weekends/holidays, follow safety standards, and communicate effectively with Front Desk and management. Experience in hotel maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and quality workmanship required.
• Hotel experience preferred to navigate guest-facing environment.
• Maintenance experience preferred for varied repair tasks.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility.
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders to assess and repair non-functioning equipment.
• Perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and record completed repairs.
