Job summary

TradeWinds Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL, operated by Highgate Hotels, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Painter to keep the property in top condition with a focus on painting.

You will join a hospitality team and perform repairs, assist with preventive maintenance, and help ensure guest satisfaction through well-maintained surroundings. The role requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) and at least a year of related hotel experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College coursework in related field helpful.
• Must be able to work long hours and lift heavy objects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong guest and employee service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure building, walls and items are painted in a presentable manner.
• Perform furniture repair.
• Replace and repair pumps.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Paint designated areas.
• Repair and finish sheet rock.
• Repair all types of wall coverings including vinyl.
• Caulking / sealing experience indoor / outdoor.
