Job summary

ZMC Hotels in Altus, OK is seeking a versatile maintenance technician skilled in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. The role involves handling a range of tasks to keep the property in good repair and responding to work orders quickly.

You will implement preventive maintenance, manage life safety systems, and oversee maintenance staff while ensuring adherence to hotel and franchise standards.

Qualifications

• Able to lift, stand, carry tools and equipment.
• Previous experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• General maintenance and repair knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for the property/equipment.
• Know and adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards.
• Oversees all staff in maintenance department.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
• Tests and maintains water content of swimming pool and whirlpool per standards.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventory and advise on items needed.
• Inspect and maintain outside grounds, including parking lot and landscaping.
• Inspect and maintain elevators.
• Knowledge of OSHA procedures and training.
• Repair furniture and structures (cabinets, tables, chairs, etc.).
• Painting, touch-ups, and finishing of furniture/building.
• Check electrical systems and fix issues as needed.
• Check and repair plumbing systems.
• Solicit bids from contractors and oversee work.
• Complete weekly maintenance log.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and appearance.
• Test life safety systems.
• Ensure security of guests, employees, and assets.
• CPR certified, SDS trained, and AWAIR program completed.
• Perform any other duties as requested by General Manager.
