Job summary

ZMC Hotels is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our Fort Wayne properties. The role covers carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs to keep guest areas safe, clean, and functional.

You will oversee maintenance tasks, ensure compliance with hotel standards, health codes, and safety protocols, and assist the General Manager with bids and project coordination. A proactive, reliable team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Ability to lift, stand, and carry tools and equipment.
• General maintenance and repair knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for the property/equipment.
• Adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards.
• Oversee maintenance staff and safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain life safety systems and grounds.
• Repair furniture and structures and perform painting as needed.
• Inspect electrical and plumbing systems and coordinate with General Manager for bids.
• Maintain maintenance logs and ensure secure operations.
