Job summary

La-Posada-Hotel is seeking an Engineering/Maintenance Helper to support the property's infrastructure. This hands-on role covers routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and responsive service across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork with housekeeping, and documentation of work performed. A high school diploma or equivalent and basic trades knowledge are required; technical training is a plus.

Qualifications

Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry basics is expected.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and tools.
Assist with emergency repairs and safety protocols.
Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to resolve issues quickly.
Document work performed and report major issues to management.
Maintain pool and spa with correct chemical levels and safety equipment, and upkeep grounds and parking areas.
