State College TownePlace Suites is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee maintenance for all hotel equipment and rooms, ensuring safe, reliable operations and timely repairs. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating preventive maintenance, and upholding high safety standards.

You'll work on-site in State College, PA, collaborating with leadership to keep guest satisfaction at the forefront while managing engineering workflows and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or vocational training is a plus.
• Building trade license/certificate from the state of operation preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a hotel maintenance engineer.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration.
• Familiarity with health/safety codes and hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the hotel’s preventive maintenance program for all equipment and rooms.
• Supervise, train, and inspect the Engineering Department's performance.
• Assist leadership in developing, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance programs.
• Ensure safety, security and comfort of staff and guests.
• Perform emergency repairs and manage proper use of tools and equipment.
