THE ROLE

The Harpeth Hotel in historic downtown Franklin is looking for Engineers to join our team! Our engineers will oversee the grounds of the hotel and assist in various projects. This is an entry-level position. We are looking for hard workers regardless of past experience. Both AM and PM shifts are available, 7 days a week. We offer medical, dental, vision benefits and more for full-time team members.

POSITION PROFILE:

• Work alongside Chief Engineer and assist in projects around hotel
• Monitor, control and report on the energy conservation programs.
• Responsible for all life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters and emergency lighting and generating systems.
• Maintain all motors and control circuits.
• Arrange for proper trash removal and recycling.
• Purchase equipment and supplies. Maintain pars.
• Maintain audio systems within the hotel.
• Perform the duties of a Class II or III Engineer as needed.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school education or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience: One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s) is preferred. No experience necessary for this entry-level position.

Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies and operations. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
