Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to handle upkeep, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling systems across our hotel portfolio. You will ensure adherence to franchise standards and deliver a high level of guest satisfaction through reliable facility operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel maintenance, knowledge of mechanical equipment, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience preferably in a hotel; franchised hotel experience a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling units.
• Maintain standards of Shaner Hotels and franchises; focus on guest experience.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.
• Assist with inventories as scheduled.
• Follow maintenance programs and cleaning schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
