Job summary

Shaner Hotels is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Engineer at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in State College, PA. The engineer will perform upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for ice machines, refrigeration units and air handling, while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Requires a two-year hotel maintenance background, ability to handle varied shifts, and a valid driver’s license. Evening and weekend work may be required, with benefits included as part of a full-time

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience preferably in a hotel; franchised hotel experience a plus.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Positive interaction with hotel personnel and prompt problem solving.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

The Engineer will handle upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units and air handling units, plus general maintenance.
Follow safety rules and departmental procedures; observe security measures.
Assist with inventories and maintain cleaning schedules as scheduled.
Evening, weekend and holiday hours may be required.
