Job summary

The Crowne Plaza Crystal City – Washington, D.C. is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join our team for PM shifts. This role supports engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs of hotel property, and asset protection, while upholding our high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, collaboration with the Chief Engineer, and safety. A strong customer focus and ability to handle physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; CPO and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred; attention to detail, customer focused, able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintains property assets and participates in preventive maintenance under guidance of Chief Engineer.
• Assists guests with requests in a friendly manner and provides high-level service.
• Identifies maintenance concerns and recommends service solutions.
• Follows standard operating procedures and works with other departments as needed.
• Maintains a safe work area and follows safety regulations.
