Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking an experienced hotel engineer for the Residence Inn Midlothian, VA. You will troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities and systems (HVAC and electrical) and perform preventive maintenance to keep guest rooms and public areas running smoothly.

This full-time role requires strong teamwork, dependability, and customer-service focus to support guest satisfaction, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree, technical school and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
• Valid driver’s license required
• Customer Service Skills required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Must have a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities and systems including HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Coordinate maintenance staff and stay within budget.
• Repair plumbing, electrical wiring, painting and general building maintenance.
• Keep safety records and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Train hotel maintenance staff in various areas.
• Maintain inventory of finishing supplies and parts
