Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Washington, DC is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces and front-of-house areas, with entry-level preventative maintenance.

The position requires 1–2 years of building maintenance experience, hotel experience preferred, strong customer service and troubleshooting skills, and open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of building maintenance experience required, hotel experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills required.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Candidate must have open availability and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and climb; lift, push and pull moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front of the house areas.
• Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included.
• Also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
