Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The role involves overseeing property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance orders to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge, with at least two years in hotel maintenance, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a hotel maintenance position
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical or technical disciplines preferred
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry

Responsibilities

• Oversees property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Performs preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Checks fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintains spare parts and bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completes daily rounds and reports problems
• Performs other duties as assigned
