Job summary

Main & Vine Hospitality Management Group in Lexington, KY area seeks a Hotel Engineer to maintain the property’s systems and guest spaces. This role works with the Chief Engineer to preserve overall condition, applying practical, detail-oriented approaches while following health and safety guidelines.

The position involves preventative maintenance, repairs, and coordination with housekeeping, ensuring all equipment functions properly and the building remains in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years related experience.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor.
• Survey building and repair mechanical, electrical, heating and plumbing systems for safety compliance.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems and general upkeep of building.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on rooms and equipment with housekeeping.
• Perform repairs such as door locks, window fixtures, caulking, painting, and carpentry tasks.
• Inspect property to identify current and potential needs and coordinate repairs.
