Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Tacoma International Airport is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems and general upkeep of the hotel facilities, including FF&E, grounds and the pool. The role requires flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

The position involves a broad range of trades, safety responsibilities, and collaboration with the engineering team to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support daily operations and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains hotel exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Serves pool by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completes maintenance logs.
• Follows safety, security, and emergency procedures; reports unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Assists other Engineering personnel and performs related duties as requested by supervisor.
