Job description

Responsibilities

• Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and performs all necessary repairs relating to their expertise.
• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
• Completes the duty rounds checklists and corrects noted problems.
• Performs cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
• Performs minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
• Checks control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Installs appliances and equipment.
• Conducts garden/yard upkeep by mowing the lawn, collecting trash, etc.
• Conducts maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
• Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
• Checks functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm).
• Creates a safe environment for guests and employees by ensuring that the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
• Collaborates with workers and other professionals during renovations.
• Reports to facilities/GM for issues.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
