Job summary

Valley Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our on-site housekeeping team in Columbus, GA. You will sort, pretreat, wash and fold all linen, keep the work area clean, and safeguard equipment, keys and supplies.

You will also support other departments and maintain a cheerful, helpful attitude at all times. Applicants should be able to follow cleaning procedures, meet basic reading/writing requirements, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Must possess a minimum of 9th grade reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• To sort, pretreat, wash and fold all linen.
• To maintain a clean work area.
• Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
