Job summary

Commonwealth Lodging Management LLC is hiring a Laundry Attendant for the Hilton Garden Inn/Home2 Suites Downtown Columbia, SC. You will process hotel and guest laundry, press, sort, and fold using commercial equipment, and log operations.

The role requiresstanding long hours in a 24/7 hotel environment and ensuring quality, hygienic laundry services. The position emphasizes safety, chemical handling per OSHA rules, and coordination with front desk and housekeeping teams to maintain guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Good English language and communication skills.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest relations and guest confidentiality.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Operate and troubleshoot laundry equipment per instructions.
• Use chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Assist with front desk requests like rollaways, towels, etc.
• Keep storage areas stocked and organized.
• Monitor pool/fitness areas and restock towels as needed.
• Sort linens by color, size, and material; wrap items for delivery.
• Clean and maintain the laundry room and equipment.
• Unload laundry from dryers and transport to storage areas.
• Stock detergents, bleach, bags, and fabric softener.
• Respond to emergencies to protect guests and staff, and protect the building.
