Job summary

Lincoln Hotel Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant to tend laundering machines and clean linens for hotel guests. Responsible for washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing linens, while maintaining equipment cleanliness and safety protocols.

The role involves consistent, physically active work with opportunities for full-time or part-time hours, and benefits including a hiring bonus and employee discounts at other IHG hotels.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work consistently.
• Physically able to move and lift objects.

Responsibilities

• Load articles into washer and add specified detergent or cleaning agent.
• Turn valve to fill washer with water and operate washing cycle.
• Start machine that washes and rinses articles.
• Move clean, wet items from washer to wringers and driers for processing.
• Sort dried articles by ID or type and store properly.
• Fold and place items in storage bins and prepare linens for use.
• Iron table linens to finish quality.
• Lubricate machines with grease and oil as needed.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose: To tend laundering machines to clean articles such as wearing apparel, sheets, blankets, and other linens used by the hotel and guests.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Load articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
2. Turn valve to fill washer with water.
3. Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
4. Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
5. Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
6. Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.
7. Iron all table linens.
8. Lubricate machines, using grease gun and oil can.
9. Ensure cleanliness of equipment.
10. Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

4. Familiarity of the material safety data sheet when using chemicals and safety rules when working around machinery.
