Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is hiring a Laundry Attendant in Fairburn, GA to maintain linen and terry, support housekeeping and F&B operations, and keep the department clean and organized.

You will receive soiled linens, operate washers/dryers, stock areas, and assist in other housekeeping tasks while ensuring timely guest service and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability to work varied shifts.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work without constant supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled linens from laundry chutes and carts.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold dirty linen and terry; store clean linen.
• Coordinate and distribute cleaned linen and terry for housekeeping and F/B staff as applicable.
• Operate laundry equipment (washer, dryer, iron and board) as needed per guest requests.
• Stock cleaned linen and terry in appropriate areas.
• Maintain daily inventories of linen and terry to meet hotel department needs.
• Replenish laundry supplies from storage as directed.
• Keep all areas of the department clean and organized; this includes sweeping and mopping the laundry area.
• Maintain cleanliness of washers and dryers (lint trays and dryer vents cleaned regularly; machines wiped inside/out).
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with guidelines.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of housekeeping as needed.
• Respond to housekeeping needs in a timely manner (within 10 minutes).
• Use guest names on guest floors, when entering occupied rooms, and in public areas.

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain cleanliness and care of hotel guest room linen and terry, and to support housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations as needed.

Location: Fairburn, GA

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled linens from laundry chutes and carts.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold dirty linen and terry; store clean linen. (Includes loading/unloading heavy, wet laundry to and from washers and dryers.)
• Coordinate and distribute cleaned linen and terry for housekeeping and F/B staff as applicable.
• Operate laundry equipment (washer, dryer, iron and board) as needed per guest requests.
• Stock cleaned linen and terry in appropriate areas.
• Maintain daily inventories of linen and terry to meet hotel department needs.

Physical Demands

• Stand for long periods; repetitive use of arms/hands/legs; lift and carry heavy items as needed.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds; able to handle wet laundry up to 10+ pounds.
• Visual acuity requirements for close, distance, and color vision; ability to work in a high-stress environment.
