Job summary

Baywood Hotels Inc is seeking a hotel laundry attendant to inspect, wash, fold, and store laundered supplies for guest rooms and Food & Beverage outlets. You will separate linen by classification, operate wash/dry cycles, and maintain orderly storage areas while adhering to Brand Standards.

The role involves recording linen counts, assisting with inventories, and communicating any equipment issues to management. A safety-conscious team player who can lift up to 40 lbs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some high school education preferred.
• Previous hotel laundry experience or related customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and read chemical labels.
• Ability to communicate problems to management and maintain housekeeping forms.
• Ability to work with guests and coworkers in a scheduling environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, wash, fold, and store laundered supplies for guest rooms and outlets.
• Separate linen by classification, fabric, and color; record totals.
• Operate, load, and unload washers and dryers according to procedures.
• Maintain orderly storage areas and supplies.
• Record damaged linen and discard items as directed.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly to supervision.
• Keep work areas clean and equipment operating safely.
• Assist with monthly inventories and stock par levels.
• Prepare laundry bags and stationery for guest rooms as needed.
• Handle lost and found items and respond to inquiries from guests.
