Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is hiring for a housekeeping support role to maintain clean public spaces, assist guests efficiently, and support room turnover in the housekeeping department.

You will handle laundry, linen sanitation, deliveries of supplies and amenities, and follow safety procedures. The position requires basic HS education, strong sanitation habits, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick up dirty linen and trash from guestrooms to speed up housekeeping operations.
• Clear dirty linen and trash from hallways.
• Ensure assigned areas are clean and neat as directed by management.
• Deliver requested items (pillows, rollaways, cribs, microwaves) to guestrooms.
• Deliver supplies to assigned areas within the facility.
• Follow biohazard, safety, clean room and mattress rotation procedures.
• Vacuum all halls, lobbies and edges.
• Perform laundry duties as directed by management.
• Replace chemicals in the laundry area.
• Organize and distribute housekeeping deliveries.
• Collect amenities for Clean the World reuse program.
• Clean and organize housekeeping storage areas.
• Communicate with supervisor about amenities and chemical usage to improve financial control.
• Collect and track recyclables to improve recycling practices.

Job Summary

Maintains clean, orderly and attractive all public space within the unit and responds to guest's requests in an efficient and pleasant manner. Supports the room turnover flow in the housekeeping department. Is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility's linens and guests' laundry as directed.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.


• Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.


• Lifting, carrying and pushing up to 35lbs. regularly, 45 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.


• Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.


• Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.


• Reading and writing work related documents in English.


• Speech recognition and clarity, including ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.


• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.


• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
