Job summary

Memphis Marriott East is seeking a Houseperson Aide to join our facilities team in Memphis, TN. You will perform routine cleaning, restock linens, and support guest comfort across hallways, elevators, and common areas.

The role requires teamwork, reliable schedules (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and the ability to stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and operate office equipment as needed. Join us to help deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use (6–8 hours).
• Occasional standing, walking during the day.
• Fine motor skills for keyboarding, writing, and using office equipment.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Lift/move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Good visual ability to read screens and print.
• Hear and participate in conversations using phone/headset.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest hallways/corridors.
• Remove trash from hallway cans, carts, and guest rooms; deposit in trash dumpster.
• Vacuum hallways, elevators, carpet edges, stairwells; shampoo carpets and mop floors when needed.
• Clean vending areas (ice, candy, soda machines).
• Dust light fixtures, fire extinguisher boxes, railings, etc.
• Remove soiled linen from carts and transport to laundry for cleaning.
• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen as needed.
• Take dirty glasses from guest rooms and return to dishwasher; restock clean glasses as needed.
