Job summary

Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is hiring a Hotel House Person to maintain high cleanliness standards in public areas and to assist by delivering items to guest rooms. The role supports housekeeping by keeping corridors, elevators, restrooms, and stairwells neat and orderly.

You will report maintenance issues, follow safety practices, and participate in Lost and Found procedures while providing friendly, courteous service to guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests and colleagues.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and staff.
• Familiar with Lost and Found procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness procedures for guest corridors and public areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to guest rooms (luggage, irons, coffee, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas, hallways and closets.
• Keep stairwells and public restrooms clean and organized.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose per hotel procedures.
• Adhere to schedule for project cleaning of public areas.

Public Space House Person

Renaissance Baton Rouge is seeking a House Person. The House Person is responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards in all guest corridors, elevators, and all assigned areas. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guest rooms (luggage, irons, coffee, etc.).

• Employees must at all times attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow employees and self.
• Handle items for Lost and Found according to the hotel standards.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
• Deliver any clean linen to assigned sections, if necessary.
• Pick up Room Attendants dirty linen or trash as needed.
• Collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in outside trash dumpsters, per hotel procedures.
• Keep hallways, public areas and closets neat and organized.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms.
• Adhere to the schedule for project cleaning of public areas.
• Maintain the stairwells to hotel standards.
• Keep ash urn clean and filled with sand.
