Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Tallahassee I-10 E is seeking a dedicated Houseman/maintenance worker to join our housekeeping team. You will provide housekeeping support, public area cleaning, event setup, guest deliveries, and minor maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates have hotel experience, are skilled with hand and power tools, and can collaborate closely with the housekeeping team to keep spaces clean, safe, and guest-ready.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to replace parts.
• Use of common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping support: stripping dirty linens, restocking carts with towels, sheets, and toiletries.
• Public area cleaning: vacuuming, mopping, dusting lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms.
• Event and room setup: arranging tables, chairs, and equipment for conferences and banquets.
• Guest deliveries: providing pillows, blankets, or amenities to rooms on request.
• Minor maintenance: changing bulbs, clearing debris, reporting larger repairs.
