Job summary

Courtyard Schenectady in Schenectady, NY is seeking a part-time Houseman to support the Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisors and Room Attendants and to help maintain hotel cleanliness.

Responsibilities include monthly inventories, mixing and distributing cleaning agents, restocking linen storerooms, assisting with room attendant tasks, delivering items to guest rooms and cleaning designated areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to communicate with guests and knowledge of cleaning machinery.

Responsibilities

• Inventory all supplies monthly and notify Executive Housekeeping of needs.
• Mix and issue cleaning agents per policy and procedure.
• Keep linen storerooms clean, stocked and orderly.
• Assist Room Attendants in removing soiled linen and trash as required.
• Deliver and pick up items for guest use (iron, ironing board, cart table, etc.).
• Deliver rollaways and cribs to guest rooms and store after use.
• Empty trash into the dumpster and assist in receiving/storing supplies.
• Restock linen carts and storerooms; manage stairwell cleaning and maintenance.
