Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hudson is hiring a House Person to support housekeeping by keeping storerooms organized, assisting with trash removal, linen retrieval, and maintaining clean back-of-house areas. The role emphasizes efficiency, professionalism, and teamwork within the hotel’s brand standards.

Starting compensation is $15.00 per hour with enrollment in benefits from DAY 1, paid time off from DAY 1, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace.
• 8+ hours per day; stand and walk frequently throughout the workday.
• Lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom shelves and supply areas.
• Clean and organize back-of-house areas including doors, walls, closets, lockers, and fixtures.
• Support cleanliness of public spaces including guest corridors, lobby areas, public restrooms, and exterior spaces.
• Retrieve and dispose of trash from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Take ownership to resolve guest challenges, collaborating with Housekeeping and Guest Service teams.
• Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations.
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests in emergencies.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by hotel leadership.
