Job summary

Hyatt Place/Downtown Columbia in Columbia, SC, is hiring for full-time Housekeeping Attendants. The hours are 9am-5pm, with weekday and weekend availability required.

You will clean guestrooms to brand standards and manage supplies and linen inventories to support excellent guest experiences. Applicants should have 1 year of housekeeping experience, know cleaning equipment and chemicals, and be able to work a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality inspections.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute scheduling.
• Must be available to work weekend shifts.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, techniques and safe use of chemicals is essential.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and meet brand/inspections thresholds.

Responsibilities

• Clean guestrooms according to SREE and brand standards to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Replace soiled linens with clean ones as required.
• Remove trash and debris from rooms when needed.
• Clean bathrooms, dust surfaces, replenish amenities, and vacuum floors.
• Report any maintenance requests or stock shortages to management.
• Keep supply cart neat, stocked, and orderly for efficiency.
• Organize linen closet and notify supervisor of stock shortages.

The Hyatt Place, located in Downtown Columbia at The Vista, is hiring for full-time Housekeeping Attendants. The hours are 9am-5pm; weekday and weekend availability is required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean guestrooms, in accordance with company and brand standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures customer satisfaction by cleaning customer rooms according to SREE and brand standards
• Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens, as required
• Removes accumulated trash and debris from room as required
• Cleans bathroom area, dusts all surfaces, replenishes room amenities, cleans floors and vacuums rooms as required
• Reports unusual circumstances to Hotel Management
• Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders
• Maximizes job efficiency by ensuring the supply cart is neat, stocked and orderly
• Ensures quality and quantity of the contents of the linen closet by organizing and cleaning it and notifies housekeeping manager or supervisor immediately if any stock shortages exist

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend and crawl, squat and crouch, and tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of 30 lbs.
