Job summary

Blue Flame Management is seeking a dedicated Houseperson to support our Fort Wayne properties. Primary duties include removing soiled linens, disposing waste, and assisting with laundry and housekeeping tasks.

You will inspect and clean guest areas, sweep stairwells, mop floors, and help room attendants as needed. Weekend availability and solid reading comprehension are preferred to follow instructions and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience recommended.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to deal with various personalities and situations.
• Fast, sound decision-making and willingness to improve.
• Ability to read and understand memos and instructions.
• Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove/collect soiled linens from rooms and drop in laundry chute or deliver to assigned area.
• Remove/collect trash from rooms and dispose according to procedures.
• Collect/empty trash from receptacles in rooms and outdoor areas.
• Inspect and clean guest common areas throughout the hotel.
• Assist laundry and room attendants with duties as assigned.
• Sweep and mop emergency stairwells and landings; clean railings and exit doors.
• May assist vacuuming inside corridors when applicable.
