Job summary

Blue Flame Management in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Houseperson to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort across three hotels: Hampton Inn Dupont, Hilton Garden Inn, and Home2 Suites. Duties include removing soiled linens, trash collection, cleaning common areas, assisting laundry and room attendants, and sweeping/mopping stairwells and corridors.

Weekend availability and the ability to read instructions are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to deal with various personalities and situations.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Remove/collect soiled linens from rooms and deliver to laundry or chute.
• Remove/collect trash from rooms and dispose of properly.
• Collect/empty trash from receptacles in rooms and outside areas.
• Inspect and clean guest common areas throughout the hotel.
• Assist laundry and room attendant with duties as assigned.
• Sweep and mop emergency stairwells and landings, railings, and exit doors.
• May assist vacuuming inside corridors.
