Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fort Drum, NY, is seeking an assistant to the room attendant team to support daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors. You will help with linens, supplies, and guest requests to keep areas orderly and responsive.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math, ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds, and willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Some housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants on assigned floors and deliver linens to room attendant carts.
• Collect dirty linens and transport to laundry area.
• Deliver fresh linens to room attendant carts throughout the day.
• Assist with stripping linens from rooms and cleaning of public areas.
• Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and housekeeping staff.
• Clean other designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas and other public areas for assigned floors.
• Monitor and control supplies, amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
• May collect newspaper and other items for recycling.
