The role includes inspecting rooms for maintenance issues, monitoring inventory, handling lost-and-found items, and reporting concerns to maintain hotel standards for every guest stay.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, replace towels, vacuum carpets, and clean and disinfect bathrooms; place new toiletries as needed.
• Change bed sheets and clean furniture after guest departures to prepare rooms for next guests.
• Look out for items left behind and deliver them to lost and found for return to guests.
• Observe room conditions during cleaning to ensure everything is in good order.

Responsibilities

• Housekeepers are required to make beds, replace used towels with new ones, vacuum carpets, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and ensure new toiletries provided by the hotel are placed at appropriate places.
• The housekeeper is particularly expected to carry out a series of cleaning functions when a guest leaves the hotel, such as changing bed sheets and cleaning the furniture to keep them looking good for the use of another guest.
• The housekeeper should also look out for items the guest may have left behind and take them to the lost and found desk where they will be returned to the guest.
• The role of the housekeeper in the operation of a hotel also entails observing the condition of the room they are cleaning to be sure everything is fine in the room.
