Job description

EARN A MONTHLY SALES COMMISSION! This is a hands-on hospitality management role where you will have full responsibility for maintaining the hotel’s high brand standards of excellence.

The General Manager oversees the hotel's daily operations, manages a team of 6-10 employees, and ensures that quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards are met consistently. You will take full ownership of your hotel to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction. Key duties include:

  1. Providing a positive and memorable guest experience.
  2. Participating in sales efforts by engaging with key accounts, meeting potential and current clients, and actively selling rooms.
  3. Conducting property walks to identify repairs and housekeeping needs.
  4. Selecting, training, and managing your team.
  5. Handling P&L responsibilities to ensure profitability.
  6. Implementing maintenance schedules, payroll, and inventory control policies.
  7. Delivering high-quality customer service and managing vendor relationships.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage & Hour, and health laws.

Qualifications include:

  • Three to five years of experience as a General Manager in a limited-service hotel.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and hotel front desk operations.
  • Understanding of hotel operations including sales, marketing, security, safety, HR, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hotel law, and long-range planning.
