Job summary

Indus Hotel Corp in Grove City, OH is seeking a Maintenance hotel teammate to uphold maintenance quality standards across the property. You will perform general maintenance, preventive tasks, repairs on electrical, plumbing, and fixtures, and assist with room care to ensure guest comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance and complete reported work orders to maintain hotel standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Check electrical systems, controls, and lighting; perform minor repairs or replacements.
• Repair hotel equipment including appliances, kitchen and laundry gear, boilers, HVAC, and plumbing fixtures.
• Service the hotel pool, adjust chemicals, and document maintenance logs.
• Maintain exterior areas and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and finish where needed.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with courtesy to ensure satisfaction.
• Be prepared for exposure to extreme temperatures and operation of heavy machinery.
• Follow attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Maintenance Hotel/Department:Maintenance

Reports to: Chief Engineer FLSA Status:Non-Exempt

Job Objective: Perform general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Assist with preventive maintenance and complete reported work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality standard.
• Perform preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g. "room care").
• Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets and lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.
• Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Service the hotel's pool if applicable, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, and completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
• Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" (i.e. snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.
• Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
• Be prepared for exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Operation of heavy machinery.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works weekend and holiday shifts as assigned.
• Ensures proper use and care of all property equipment and supplies.
• Carries out all reasonable requests of management not listed above.
• Follows all hotel and state/federal safety policies and regulations.
