A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting, registering, and checking out guests, ensuring outstanding guest service and contributing to the hotel's financial success.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details and room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, and providing welcome packets.
  • Assisting guests with check-out procedures, including accurate billing, using the point-of-sale system, handling payments, and processing credit/debit cards and foreign currency.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel information such as room categories, rates, packages, and local area details to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest requests and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing guest messages.
