Travelodge of Missouri Valley, IA is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to uphold safety and comfort across guest areas and facilities. Candidates should have at least 2 years of hotel engineer experience and HVAC certification.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and energy conservation efforts, with supervision by the General Manager. We offer a competitive hourly wage of $20.00–$22.00 and a benefits package including 401K.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment at the engineer level.
• HVAC certification, pool certification, or technician certification preferred.
• Stable work history required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest and employee safety through proper maintenance of building systems and facilities
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for all building systems and guest rooms
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, renovation, and furniture adjustments as needed
• Monitor and implement energy conservation measures, tracking usage via meter readings
• Oversee maintenance of all fire safety equipment and ensure compliance
