Job summary

Shaner Group is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to lead the Engineering department, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across the property.

You will develop and monitor maintenance programs, supervise staff, enforce safety standards and codes, review inspections, and coordinate with city/state authorities as required, while maintaining confidentiality and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college/vocational training is a plus.
• Any building trade license or certificate from the state is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.
• Reading and interpreting safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Experience with safety, health, and building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the Engineering department operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC, mechanical equipment.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor a maintenance program to ensure safety, security, and comfort of staff and guests.
• Assigned responsibility of Safety Committee Chairperson.
• Supervise, train and manage all Engineering staff.
