Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Galleria-Ballpark Area seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee all administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel’s engineering division, ensuring safe and profitable operation.

The role requires facilities management experience, budgeting, preventive maintenance, energy conservation, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise engineering staff, prepare schedules, and lead safety initiatives to maintain top service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years facilities mgmt in hotels, or 4-year degree with 1+ year mgmt.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service, SOPs, and loss prevention standards.
• Create, approve, and post Engineering staff schedules.
• Create and adhere to annual department budget and develop financial forecasts.
• Develop and implement plans for maintaining property, equipment, grounds, and assets.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and safety standards.
