Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on Engineering Supervisor to support the Director of Engineering Services in the ongoing maintenance and operation of hotel facilities.

You will supervise the engineering team, maintain preventive maintenance logs, assist in procurement, review work orders, and respond to guest requests with a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• 3-5 years of hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred.
• Supervisory experience of an engineering team required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the full upkeep of preventative maintenance, including logs on work done, scheduling and project assignments.
• Assist in procurement of supplies and issuing purchase orders.
• Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
• Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair supplies.
• Respond to guest requests.
• Coordinate activities with the Engineering staff on shift.
• Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the Director's absence.
• Understand Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Understand Omni's job scenarios.
