Job summary

AHC Hospitality seeks a Director of Engineering to oversee engineering operations across the hotel portfolio, leading three managers and up to forty team members. The role drives preventive and reactive maintenance, safety, and compliance while aligning with asset strategies and capital plans.

You will manage budgets, plan capital improvements, recruit and mentor staff, and coordinate with department heads to ensure timely maintenance and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 5+ years experience in maintenance, facilities, or trades; hotel/large facility background preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and reactive maintenance programs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering and organizational goals.
• Plan, coordinate, manage, and execute capital projects and renovations.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
• Recruit, train, and mentor engineering staff; foster continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high service standards across all facilities.
• Oversee building systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical; manage external contractors.

Education
