Job summary

The LaSalle Chicago Autograph Collection by Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking an Engineer Apprentice to provide mechanical skilled trade support to the Chief Engineer on the property in Chicago, IL. The role involves hands-on maintenance and safety-conscious task execution in a luxury hotel setting.

Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining systems, troubleshooting issues, ordering parts, and assisting with estimating and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and performs mechanical installation/maintenance/repair on systems as required.
• Troubleshoots and addresses repairs and maintenance.
• Orders and organizes parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete jobs effectively.
• Supports and assists Chief Engineer with estimating and invoicing.
• Documents the installation/maintenance/repairs performed and ensures accordance with procedure.
• Operates power tools and may use chemicals that require safety training.
