Job description

Create the best possible vacation experience for our guests by effectively managing the overall hotel operation onboard our ships. Use your leadership and management skills to ensure that the food & beverage, guest services, housekeeping, and other hotel operations teams work seamlessly to deliver the highest level of customer service throughout the voyage. You are also responsible for minimizing costs and meeting, and when possible exceeding, all revenue targets. You’re the guest experience expert we want if you have worked as a general manager in a large upscale cruise ship, hotel, or resort. Fluency in other languages (including German, French, Portuguese, and Spanish) is an advantage!


Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of five years’ experience as a senior leader in a luxury hotel or cruise industry environment.
  2. Exceptional communication, problem solving decision making and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to lead with a “global” perspective in a culturally diverse and dynamic environment.
  4. Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, work force planning and management, leadership techniques and production methods.
  5. Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  6. Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the human resources function.
  7. Ability to lead teams in a positive and productive manner by inspiring and developing individuals and effectively managing processes.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent (Preferred), or “on the job” progressive experience equivalent.
  9. Intermediate computer software skills required.
