Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Financial Controller for a fast-growing hotel/property management company. The role oversees the accounting and finance department across multiple units, delivering financial analysis and monthly reporting.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in hospitality/real estate accounting, can collaborate with leadership, and is proficient with QuickBooks. This on-site position in Michigan offers weekday hours and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret accounting principles and extract information, plus perform arithmetic functions.
• A degree in finance or accounting is preferred.
• 4–7 years of accounting experience across multiple revenue centers/units in Hospitality/Real Estate/Property Management.
• Able to collaborate with leadership and property managers and also work independently.
• QuickBooks experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide financial analysis on acquisition, refinance, and disposition of development or revenue projects.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for multiple properties to assess accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Complete account reconciliations and review them with the CPA firm.
• Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future revenues and expenses.
• Maintain accounting dashboard, cash flow, debt, and equity projections and provide actionable insights.
• Monitor labor and payroll processes and assist with payroll processing duties and compliance as needed.

Hotel Company Controller

Fast growing Property Management Hospitality Company is searching for a Financial Controller. The position will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance department of a multi-unit company.

Hotel Company Controller Responsibilities:

• Provide financial analysis on Acquisition, Refinance, and Disposition of development or revenue projects.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for multiple properties to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Accurately complete account reconciliations and review them with the CPA firm.
• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Maintain accounting dashboard, cash flow, debt, and equity projections and provide actionable insights based on findings.
• Monitor Labor and payroll processes and practices. Assist with other payroll processing duties and compliance, as needed

Hotel Company Controller Qualifications:

• Requires ability to interpret accounting principles/extract information and / perform arithmetic functions.
• A degree in finance or accounting would be preferred.
• 4-7 years of accounting experience working with multiple revenue centers/units in either Hospitality / Real Estate / Property Management.
• Able to collaborate with leadership and property Managers and also be able to work independently.

Financial Controller Benefits

• Base salary of 95k to 105k.
