Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance operations, coordinate preventive and emergency repairs, and ensure optimal hotel performance. The role requires leadership of the engineering team, budgeting, asset protection, and compliance with safety standards, while delivering guests a safe and comfortable stay.

Applicants should have a strong background in building management and engineering with at least five years of maintenance experience

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering and hotel operations.
• Strong communication skills with guests, staff and department heads.
• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience with 3 years supervisory or managerial experience in hotel engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance of hotel systems.
• Plan and supervise engineering department staff to ensure service standards.
• Maintain accurate records of plant equipment, repairs and service activities.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance needs and ensure professional service.
• Oversee inventory of parts and supplies; manage safety and compliance.
• Develop energy conservation programs and coordinate with suppliers for AMC.
