Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas is seeking an Area Engineering Project Manager responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Capital Improvement projects within budget and schedule. You will partner with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and report progress to stakeholders and leadership.

The role requires coordinating with the Capital Improvements Department, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a supervisory/management position or project management in a hospitality setting or equivalent education/working experience.
• Must be able to read and comprehend project specifications, consultant reports from the various disciplines related to engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
• Manage project development from beginning to end.
• Partner and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, including progress, risks, and issues.
• Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all projects adhere to company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
• Evaluate and recommend strategies to enhance project management efficiency.
• Draft Purchase Orders and approve for pay out.
• Maintain comprehensive project files.
• Maintain daily logs of work performed.
• Oversees shipping and receiving of goods to and from Capital Improvements Warehouse and job site.
• Maintain inventory logs of Capital Improvements Warehouse.
• Manages all Receiving and Damage Reports with purchasing agent.
• Coordinate all Receiving and Damage Reports with purchasing agent.
• Price and order tools and materials for Capital Improvement Department.
