About the role:

The Hotel Assistant Manager oversees the front office staff and manages all functions of the Front Desk. Responsibilities include ensuring effective communication and follow-up on guest requests, problems, or special requirements, monitoring employee activities to meet standards, supporting staff, and fulfilling guest needs.

What you will do:

  1. Oversee Front Desk operations and serve as the manager on duty.
  2. Direct and perform duties such as welcoming and registering guests, explaining accommodations, and handling payments.
  3. Assist with talent acquisition, training, supervising, and performance management of the Front Office team.
  4. Ensure all financial and credit procedures are followed and follow up on credit issues with relevant management.

What you bring:

  • At least 1 year of supervisory or assistant management experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with previous Rooms Division/Front Office experience required. Multiple divisional experiences are a plus.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of front office and housekeeping operations.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computer equipment; knowledge of Opera is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations and guest complaints effectively.
