Job summary

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Guest Service Representative to join Hotel 1928 and its team of hospitality enthusiasts. The role focuses on greeting guests, checking in VIPs, answering inquiries, and upholding cash handling procedures with a commitment to guest satisfaction.

The candidate will maintain a neat front desk, assist with lobby activation, and participate in upsell opportunities while safeguarding guest information and delivering a six-star arrival experience.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with personal recognition in a warm, authentic manner.
• Assist with check-in for guests and escort VIPs as needed.
• Answer phones within three rings and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Handle cash drops and report over/shorts per procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and assist with lobby activation.
• Upsell and promote on-property services as part of the Front Desk program.
• Protect guest PII data and ensure privacy at all times.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets guests as they arrive, focusing on personal recognition in a warm and authentic manner
• Reviews arrival list daily and assists in preparing , assembling and delivering welcome amenities
• Escort VIPs to room and check them in prior to arrival
• Answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and answer questions accordingly or transfer as needed
• Responsible for issued bank - count bank at beginning and end of shift.
• Ensure that all cash drops are done in accordance with proper cash handling procedures and report all cash over/ shorts to management
• Maintains front desk area to be clean and organized
• Assisting with lobby activation as needed
• Utilize proper procedures when handling guest PPI data
• Understands the key points to communicate for a Graduate Arrival experience
• Follows through and feels ownership of guest requests
• Resolves guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner
• Actively participates in Front Desk upsell program
• Always retrieve necessary identification documents and form of payment upon guest arrival
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Prior Customer Service Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
