Job description

Join SwantonWeldings dynamic team as a Hot Shot Truck Driver CDL-A, where safety and efficiency are our top priorities. Responsibilities
  • Safely transport shipments using a flatbed straight truck, adhering to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Operate an F550 truck with a 40ft gooseneck trailer, hauling loads between 20,000 to 25,000 pounds.
  • Pick up and drop off shipments to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure pallets are wrapped and banded for shipment and that all loads are properly secured with straps before transportation.
  • Chart out efficient routes using maps/GPS to optimize delivery times.
  • Procure required signatures and documentation for transported freight.
  • Perform loading and unloading of materials in the truck.
  • Maintain the truck's condition by checking tire pressure, fluids, and cleanliness, and report any safety concerns to the Plant Manager.
  • Assist in the facility when there are no deliveries to be made.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Class A CDL certified.
  • At least two years of trucking experience.
  • Strong attendance record and dependability.
  • Detail-oriented approach to daily work activities.
